Project Manager Fan Experience

As Project Manager (Fan Experience), you’ll join the Operations team in delivering great fan experiences for our gaming communities, on behalf of our clients or by our own initiative. You will develop and lead major gaming events for the biggest TCG (trading-card-games) brands in the world. While doing so, you remain a reliable and approachable partner for your client.

We create and deliver fan experiences for gaming communities in Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magic: The Gathering, Flesh & Blood, Disney Lorcana, One Piece, League of Legends, CS:GO, Mario Kart, Splatoon, and more!

With more than 9 nationalities in our team of 25+ dedicated gaming and esports experts, we support our communities and clients (brands, conventions, tournament organisers & game publishers) all across Europe and beyond, from our offices in Ghent (Belgium) and London (UK). YOUR ROLE

As Project Manager (Fan Experience), you’ll join the Operations team in delivering great fan experiences for our gaming communities, on behalf of our clients or by our own initiative. You will develop and lead major gaming events for the biggest TCG (trading-card-games) brands in the world. While doing so, you remain a reliable and approachable partner for your client.

You take ownership of the project from the start till the aftercare is done, and make sure we reach our targets, within budget, in a safe way and with a positive outcome for all involved parties.

You report directly to the Operations Director and work closely with the Experts of multiple departments within the company.

This position requires traveling to international events!

YOUR TASKS

Project Management
  • You manage the project from A to Z, and ensure that all major milestones and deadlines are met, within the KPIs demanded by our client.
  • You manage and control the budget and finances of the project, and communicate about it with your client and Operations Director.
  • You coordinate the project team consisting of internal team members, freelancers and external parties.
  • You act as a primary point of contact for the client on all topics related to the project.
  • You evaluate, adjust and debrief the project with the internal team & client.
  • You ensure a safe event, and will look after all parties involved to follow the safety procedures as briefed.
Innovation
  • You work with the project team, members of the gaming community, and our creative and commercial teams to identify areas of improvement for future projects.
  • You present ideas for innovation to our commercial & creative teams, and to our clients.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • You have experience in project management and/or event management.
  • You’re a problem solver, and have a hands-on mentality.
  • You work very structured and know how to keep an overview of things.
  • Hard deadlines motivate you, and you can perform under pressure.
  • You’re good at identifying priorities, meeting deadlines & multitasking
  • You’re a people person and a team player
  • You value quality and have a keen eye for detail.
  • You’re driven and self motivated to always strive for the best possible experience for all parties involved.
  • You have experience with working with budgets.
  • You have experience with communicating with (international) clients.
  • Experience with Google Workspace, Slack, SketchUp, AutoCad, Rentman, … is a plus.
  • Working experience in the gaming industry is beneficial but not essential.
  • An interest in gaming (competitive and/or trading card game collections) is a nice to have.
  • Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written), other languages are a plus.
  • Category B driving license is nice to have.
