Introducing the MTG Spotlight Series

We are excited to announce a new competitive platform for all MTG players. Together with Wizards of the Coast, we bring the MTG Spotlight Series to Europe! The Magic Spotlight Series is a large, multi-day celebration that will spotlight a specific theme at each event, and elements of that theme will influence the weekend’s events.

The MTG Spotlight Series will feature multiple standalone events for all MTG players all including a $50,000 prize pool, an event-specific promo card, and invitations to an upcoming Magic Pro Tour event for the Top 8 finishers. Each event in this series will focus on a specific product, character, brand partnership, or format within the Magic: The Gathering universe. These standalone events will not require qualification and are not tied to the Ultimate Guard European Magic Series, making them accessible to a wide array of players.

The series will also feature comprehensive live streaming coverage on our Twitch channel, ensuring fans worldwide can enjoy the action. We are partnering with MTG Melee for top-notch tournament organisation and reporting, ensuring a seamless experience for all attendees.

MTG Spotlight Series - Utrecht

The first European edition of the Spotlight Series will take place at the Jaarbeurs event hall in Utrecht, the Netherlands, on the 15 to 16th of March 2025. With a prize pool of $50,000 and Top 8 ProTour Slots, the event is expected to be a huge success. All participants in the Magic Spotlight: Modern main event will receive a non-foil borderless copy of a Kaldra Compleat promo card (preview the card on the right), featuring artwork from Monztre.
